DESCRIPTION:Friday\, 21 May 2021 | 7.30pm\n			 \n			 \n				\n				\n			 \n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n			\n			 \n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				Following their sold-out concerts at St Cuthbert’s Earl’s Court in 2020\, ChamberMusicBox are delighted to return for their first live concert after the lockdown break with a stunningly beautiful programme of works by Mozart\, Schubert\, Mahler\, Strauss and Ravel. \n \n			 \n				Book Now\n			\n			 \n				\n				\n			 \n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				“A perfect afternoon of music”. “Amazing!” These are just some of the audience reactions to what has rapidly becoming a favourite amongst London’s classical music lovers since the series’ inception in 2016. \nChamberMusicBox combines leading international artists with imaginative and daring repertoire choices to present programmes which aim to combine the much-loved with unfamiliar gems\, all in a relaxed and inclusive setting. \nAs one of the leading British flautists of her generation\, Kathryn Thomas has performed at The Wigmore Hall\, Southbank Centre\, Manchester’s Bridgewater Hall as well as at festivals including the BBC Proms\, Cheltenham\, Two Moors and Presteigne. She is a member of the award-winning Galliard Ensemble and has released several CDs on the Deux-Elle label to great critical acclaim. \nDescribed by the Guardian as “knowing how to use her dramatic and vocal skills to the utmost”\, mezzo-soprano Emily Gray is in growing demand on the opera and concert stages alike. Her performances have included concert appearances at the Royal Albert Hall\, King’s Place and the Purcell Room as well as live broadcasts on BBC3’s “In Tune” programme. \nThe recipient of two prestigious Diapason d’Or awards for his recording of Weinberg’s Violin Sonatas\, Yuri Kalnits was described by reviewers as ‘an interpreter of the highest order’. His career as a soloist\, chamber music and concertmaster has taken him to many of the world’s greatest concert halls such as Lincoln Centre\, Suntory Hall\, Barbican\, Southbank Centre and the Small Hall of Moscow Conservatoire. \nViolist Matthew Quenby enjoys a varied career as a chamber musician and principal viola of several ensembles. He also appears regularly as a soloist with London-based chamber orchestras and has been a member of the 4th Dimension Quartet\, London Concertante and recorded for EMI as part of the Lunel Quartet. \nAs a soloist and chamber musician\, cellist Julia Morneweg has performed around the UK and internationally at venues including the Purcell Room at London’s Southbank Centre\, St John’s Smith Square\, Zurich Tonhalle\, Martinu Hall Prague and Shanghai’s Daning Theatre. She was a member of the Erato Piano Trio for 11 years before founding ChamberMusicBox together with Yuri Kalnits in 2016. \nKazakh-British pianist Dina Duisen enjoys a successful career as a soloist and chamber musician\, regularly appearing at venues including the Jacqueline du Pré Music Building in Oxford\, Royal Concert Hall in Nottingham\, St Martin-in-the-Fields\, St James’s Piccadilly\, King’s Place\, Milton Court\, Cadogan Hall\, The Elgar Room at the Royal Albert Hall. \nDue to current COVID-19 restrictions all tickets must be pre-booked in advance.
