Christopher Gibbons – composer

Christopher Gibbons

Chris studied art in London, winning the senior school art prize at Westminster City School and graduating to the Camberwell School of Art and Design. Fate had other plans and Chris secured a recording contract and instead embarked upon a life as a professional musician, working successfully as a composer for film and media as well as the performing arts.
With the advent of the pandemic, Chris returned to his love of art and in a very short space of time has attracted much favourable attention, drawing his inspiration from regular cycle tours of the beautiful Cotswolds where he is based.
Many have commented on his style, finding it comforting and endearing even when embarking on abstract interpretations.

What has creating art meant to you over the last year?

Unable to perform teach or record as is my custom, I decided to turn back the clock and re-engage myself with creative art. Working in a variety of styles to mainly explore how I see the world externally and internally. It has been the most rewarding and exciting journey.
